Should I replace an old filling just because it is old?
Age alone does not determine whether a filling needs replacement. We assess its condition, the surrounding tooth and any signs of decay or fracture.
What should I do if a filling falls out?
Call our office to arrange an evaluation and avoid chewing on the affected tooth if it is uncomfortable. For severe swelling, trouble breathing or swallowing, or uncontrolled bleeding, seek emergency medical care immediately.
